Mumbrella is seeking an experienced Event Manager to work supporting the Head of Events and the wider events team in executing a successful and profitable annual events program.


  • Overseeing all planning, operation and logistics for assigned events, ensuring consistencies in brand experience across all event executions
  • Developing a critical time path for each event and ensuring it is adhered to
  • Working to and developing production template for each event
  • Delegate management, including overseeing ticket bookings, responding to enquiries professionally and within the agreed time frames
  • Negotiating and booking appropriate venue for scheduled events when required
  • Liaising with event sponsors and the sales team to ensure all agreed entitlements are delivered upon and long term relationships with sponsors are established
  • Ensuring event budgets are accurately updated and costs are managed efficiently
  • Establishing and maintaining great relationships with suppliers and stakeholders
  • Working with the Content Curator to manage speaker liaison - re-confirming speaker and session details and coordinating AV requirements
  • Running the event on the day to ensure the process to logistically smooth
  • Planning room layouts and meet event scheduling, sponsorship and exhibition requirements
  • Overseeing all aspects of the assigned event
  • Post-event evaluation (including data entry and analysis and producing reports for event stakeholders)
  • Any other event management tasks as required


  • Minimum 5 years experience in planning, scheduling and running corporate events
  • Ability to work in a small, busy team with demanding timelines
  • A relevant business/tertiary qualification preferred
  • Impeccable time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects and prioritise tasks efficiently
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Flexible and adaptable to working outside of core hours
  • Display high level judgement and decision making ability
  • A pragmatic ‘hands on’ approach with the ability to work collaboratively with strong adaptability skills
  • Sound negotiation and influencing skills
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and demonstrate flexibility to meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to travel interstate and overseas when required
